KD (Kawasaki Daishi) area is the nearest sightseeing spot to Haneda International Airport in the valuable towns in Japan. It is just 20 minutes from Tokyo International Airport (HND), and has about 900 year history.
The main sightseeing spot of this town is Kawasaki Daishi Heikenji Temple. It is well known for its power of warding off evil (Yakuyoke) among the people in the eastern part of Japan for over 900 years and its fire ceremony.
The uniqueness of this area comes from it being a hybrid between a tourist sightseeing spot and a place for the local residential community. You can see traditional cultural things and local lifestyles in the modern 21s century at the same time, and feel the real life of Japan, such as local school boys and girls wearing randoseru bags, the elderly in the daycare, kindergarten children, praying, people in modern apartments, and so on.
